Cecilio & Kapono Information

Cecilio Rodriguez and Henry Kapono joined forces in 1973. Cecilio, a native Californian, had been touring with Little Anthony and the Imperials. Henry Kapono Ka'aihue was born and raised in Kapahulu, located just outside Waikiki. The first instrument he learned to play was the ukulele, followed by the acoustic guitar, which he learned to play by listening to the radio and records.

When Cecilio & Kapono started playing together the result was a series of top selling albums and sold out concerts. Remembered for their harmonies and signature guitar licks, Cecilio & Kapono dominated the Hawaiin music scene in the 1970s. In 2003 they reunited.
