Carbon Leaf Information

College friends formed Carbon Leaf in Richmond, Virginia in 1992. Band members include Barry Privett, Terry Clark, Carter Gravatt, Jordan Medas, and Scott Milstead. They released their first album in 1995 but 1997's Shadows in the Banquet Hall includes more fan favorites. Continuing to record, their 2001 single "The Boxer" brought the first national attention and a new music award and performance at the 2002 American Music Awards.

Their first release on a label came in 2004 with Indian Summer which spawned the hits "Life Less Ordinary" and "What About Everything?". The follow up album Love, Loss, Hope, Repeat hits the market in fall 2006.

Carbon Leaf describes their sound as acoustic/electric, roots/pop rock with mandolins. Carbon Leaf has opened for acts such as Dave Matthews Band, O.A.R., and David Gray, and toured with Jason Mraz, Blues Traveler, Great Big Sea, Jump, Little Children, and Big Head Todd and the Monsters.
