Bullet For My Valentine Information

Bullet For My Valentine has had greater success in England than the U.S. but their popularity is increasing on both continents. Formed in 1998 under the name "Jeff Killed John", the British metalcore band originally played Metallica and Nirvana covers. They broke up early on and renamed themselves twice when they got back together with a new bassist.

The lineup includes Matthew Tuck, Michael Paget, Jason James, and Michael Thomas. Their first EP was Hand of Blood, released in 2004. They released their debut album, The Poison, a year later. Several video games feature their songs. In 2005 they won the Kerrang! Award for Best British Newcomer and Best UK single for "Tears Don't Fall." They also won the 2006 Metal Hammer Golden God Award for Best British Band. Appearing on several rock mega tours, they have also opened for Metallica and Guns N' Roses.
