Brian Setzer Orchestra Information

The former Stray Cats frontman leads the swing/rockabilly band The Brian Setzer Orchestra. The band has released six albums to date and two live DVDs. Leading the way in the 1990s Swing Revival, The Brian Setzer Orchestra scored a hit with a cover version of "Jump Jive An' Wail."

The Brian Setzer Orchestra maintained a loyal following and plays a holiday extravaganza each year. One of the reasons The Brian Setzer Orchestra has retained their following is that they reinvent the music form the past. Hip-hop beats, raps and lyrics for famous instrumentals are a few of the elements The Brian Setzer Orchestra has added to their music. In addition the band still creates original songs. Their most recent release is 2005's Dig That Crazy Christmas.

The Brian Setzer Orchestra has played for President George Bush and the Japanese Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi. The Brian Setzer Orchestra is a 17-piece Big Band fronted by an electric guitar. Brian Setzer is married and his wife Julie was the former singer for the Dustbunnies. She is a back-up singer for The Brian Setzer Orchestra.
