Brian Mcknight Information

Born in 1969 Brian McKnight is best known as a singer and songwriter. But the multi-instrumentalist plays the piano, guitar, and trumpet. His older brother Claude's band Take 6 earned the first record deal in the family. Brian McKnight followed suit and signed his first recording deal at the age of 19 releasing a self-titled debut in 1992. Within a few years his albums Anytime and Back at One were selling millions. Brian MckNight has produced a string of Top 20 singles on the R&B and Pop charts. His latest album Gemini, was released on February 8, 2005.

Even while in high school in Amherst, N.Y., Brian McKnight was a band leader. He has worked as an arranger and producer. His collaborations include work with Mase, Sean "Puffy" Combs, Mary J. Blige, Vanessa Williams, For Real, Mariah Carey, Regine Velasquez, Boyz II Men, Christina Aguilera and Quincy Jones.
