BoDeans Information

Formed in Waukesha, Wisconsin in 1983, the BoDeans signed a record contract with Slash/Warner Records to release Love & Hope & Sex & Dreams in 1986.

Rolling Stone would name the BoDeans the Best New American Band in 1987. Throughout their existence, various members have come and gone from the group. Perhaps their most popular song was the single "Closer to Free," which was the opening song for FOX's Party of Five. After their debut release, the BoDeans had six albums, including the two-disc live set Joe Dirt Car until 1996, when they decided to take some time off from the band.

They reunited to release 2002's The Best of the BoDeans: Slash & Burn. A few more releases later, and the BoDeans would release their most recent album, yet another 2-disc live set. Homebrewed: Live from the Pabst was released in 2005.
