Blue October Information

Texas-based Blue October formed in 1996 by Justin and Jeremy Farland, Ryan Delahoussaye, and was later joined by CB Hudson and Matt Novesky. Their first release, The Answers, came two years later.

In August 2000, Blue October was signed to Universal Records and released Consent to Treatment. Even though they were dropped from Universal, Universal would eventually wind up re-releasing their third album History for Sale.

Blue October saw success with their single "Calling You," which was featured in the film American Wedding. However, they found an even bigger hit in 2006 with the single "Hate Me," off of 2006's release Foiled.

So far, Blue October has appeared on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Jimmy Kimmel Live, and The Late Show with David Letterman. Blue October decided to branch out on their 2006 tour thanks to the success of Foiled. Blue October covered the United States and parts of Canada, England, Germany, and the Netherlands.
