The heroine Barbie stars as Elina in the magnificent land of Fairytopia. Elina embarks on a journey to find the Guardian Fairy who can save her flower home from the spell of wicked Laverna. Elina travels on the back of a colorful butterfly to amazing and beautiful places. Elina is a beautiful flower fairy who feels ashamed that she has no wings. But on her journey she meets new people who test her courage and teach her the value of true friendship and self worth. Can this wingless fairy save all of Fairytopia? This elaborate stage production of the Barbie Fairytopia DVD brings an enchanted world to life. The costumes and sets are dazzling. Barbie was cast after a nationwide casting call that was televised on Good Morning America. Mattel and Clear Channel Entertainment put together a creative staff that rivals many Broadway productions. Eric Schaeffer directs Barbie Live in Fairytopia and costumes were dreamed up by Tony-nominated costume designer Gregg Barnes. It features original music including the songs "The Friends You Haven't Met" and "Rise Above It All." This is Barbie's first-ever, touring live theatrical stage show. It will stop in 80 American cities.
