Anna Nalick Information

Born in 1984, Anna Nalick grew up in Glendora, California. She grew up with her grandparents regaling her with stories from their days as part of the chorus for several Broadway shows. She started writing songs in grade school and by high school she was performing with a Rush cover band. Planning to go to college and then pursue music she passed a demo to an acquaintance who knew someone with a family in the music business. That led to her discovery. Soon she was working with some of the musicians who had influenced her while she grew up including members of Blind Melon.

Her first single "Breathe (2 A.M.)" went 3 times platinum and hit No. 1 on the adult contemporary charts. The accompanying debut album Wreck of the Day sold 615,000 within its first year. She is experiencing international success and is working on her sophomore album. Her first ever North American concert tour in 2005 had her appearing as the opening act for the Wallflowers, Howie Day, and Rob Thomas as well as headlining her own shows. In 2006 Anna Nalick has dates opening for the Dixie Chicks as well as shows on her own.
