Angels and Airwaves Information

Tom DeLonge, the frontman for Blink 182, formed Angels and Airwaves after taking a hiatus from his former band. The Angels and Airwaves debut album Don't Need to Whisper debuted in May 2006. A movie was also made, telling the story of the album. Angels and Airwaves features Tom DeLonge on guitar/vocals, David Kennedy on guitar, Atom Willard banging out drums, and Ryan Sinn providing bass. All members of Angels and Airwaves have played modern day punk as ex-members of Box Car, The Offspring, and The Distillers.

Angels and Airwaves released their first single, "The Adventure" on the Internet in advance of the album release and it generated a lot of buzz. Angels and Airwaves promote a futuristic sound and visuals. A brief spring tour launching April 12th in Pomona, California helped the band build an audience.
