Ana Gabriel Information

Born into a Mexican family of mixed Spanish-Chinese ancestry Ana Gabriel started singing on stage at the age of 6. In 1977, when she was 22 years old, she recorded her first song entitled "Comprendeme." Her first smash hit was a song called "Simplemente Amigos." She has won several talent competitions. In 1986 Ana Gabriel represented Mexico at the OTI Festival.

The Mexican singer performs in Spanish and has had a career for almost 30 years. Lambada, romantic ballads, Mexican songs accompanied with Mariachi and traditional boleros are all part of her repertoire. She has 18 albums and many are gold, platinum, and diamond records.
