Aly & AJ Information

You may recognize Aly & AJ from the Disney movie Cow Belles or from their individual performances on Phil of The Future, Six Feet Under or The Guardian. And if you've seen many Disney feature films you have probably heard them. Alyson Renae "Aly" Michalka (born 1989) and Amanda Joy "AJ" Michalka (born 1991) are a pop music duo consisting of teen age sisters.

Their songs are often marketed to young teens or preteens. They have also covered a number of songs. In addition they are songwriters. Aly and AJ released a debut album in 2005 entitled Into the Rush. The album rose to No. 36 and was certified gold.

Daughters of a Christian rock band member Aly & AJ grew up with music around them. The sisters started out singing in church and school. By 6 they were learning piano and later guitar. Acting and modeling gigs followed. Aly & AJ are currently scheduled to star in Disney's new series Haversham Hall.
