Another short skit follows an overweight chorus boy as he helps a lesbian dance in public. Most critics found this to be the funniest of the three plays in After the Night And The Music.

The middle play of After the Night And The Music focuses on four singles in the often-alienating modern times. The lives of each character unfold through monologues and brief telephone conversations. After the Night And The Music explores the nuances of the human condition poking fun at lonliness and insecurity.
