Adrian Belew Information

Known for his work as a member of the progressive rock group King Crimson, Adrian Belew was born Robert Steven Belew in 1949. Adrian Belew is a true musician who expresses himself with a guitar. His first band was a Beatles cover band. Frank Zappa discovered him playing in another cover band in Nashville. Adrian Belew has played with Frank Zappa, David Bowie, the Talking Heads, Paul Simon, Peter Wolf, Nine Inch Nails, Tori Amos, William Shatner, Crash Test Dummies, Ben Folds and Jars of Clay among others.

His first solo album was released in 1982. In addition to his work with King Crimson , in the late-1980s, Adrian Belew formed the pop band The Bears with ex-Raisins members. They released three studio albums. He also releases regular solo albums, most recently Side Three in 2006.
