As of 2006 California Nu Metal rock group Adema has a new singer, Bobby Reeves. Kris Kohls, Tim Fluckey, Dave DeRoo and Bobby Reeves make up the present Adema lineup. Formed in 1998, Adema began with Mark Chavez, Mike Ransom, Dave DeRoo, Tim Fluckey and Kris Kohls, who played together for a year before they performed live. Their first album sold more than 600,000 copies. The self titled album produced three Top 40 singles: "The Way You Like It," "Giving In," and "Freaking Out." After taking the coveted main stage spot at Ozzfest, Adema released a six-song EP before their next full-length album. Sales for the next album were considerably lower but the title song "Unstable" did produce a hit.
By 2005 Adema had released its third album, Planets, and sales were higher. This album has a more traditional rock style. The band has had a considerable amount of turnover. The original lead singer Mark Chavez is half brother to Korn's Jonathan Davis. Some say the family connection led to a quick record deal.
