Movin Out Tickets
Movin' Out takes audiences through a journey of starting a new stage of one's life and the difficulties of moving on, set to the music of Billy Joel. Movin' Out is a jukebox musical set on Long Island in the ‘60s and tells the love stories of five lifelong friends. Each of their lives are drastically changed through marriage, break-ups and the turmoil of the Vietnam War. After losing one of their friends in the war, they return home to try and make their lives return to a state of normalcy. Choreographed, created and directed by Twyla Tharp, Movin' Out was nominated for 10 Tony Awards in 2003 and won for Choreography and Best Orchestrations. Since its opening in October of 2003, Movin' Out has been performed well over 1,000 times and is one of the longest-running dance musicals on Broadway.
