Composer-lyricist Stephen Schwartz convinced Universal Studios president Marc Platt that the Wicked project would work better as a Broadway musical. And the rest is Broadway theater history. Wicked tickets are now available across North America. The original Broadway Wicked is still selling out in New York. While the long-term productions in Chicago is following suit. Wicked Chicago celebrated its first year run in June 2006 with a Wicked gathering and free tickets for the first 365 fans dressed in full Wicked Witch Garb complete with green skin of course. Tour stops include Ft. Lauderdale, Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, Philadelphia, Boston, Atlanta, Detroit, Cleveland, Minneapolis, San Diego, Costa Mesa, Tempe, Seattle, Toronto, Tampa, Houston, Dallas, and Denver. Wicked tickets are recommended for age eight and up. Children under four will not be permitted.
