Three Days of Rain Information

Scheduled to star in the Broadway production of Three Days of Rain are Bradley Cooper, Julia Roberts, and Paul Rudd. Three Days of Rain was originally a 1997 Off-Broadway pla y at Manhattan Theatre Club. Before that, Three Days of Rain was collection of short stories written by Anton Chekov. In 2002, Michael Meredith directed the Three Days of Rain feature film.

Three Days of Rain is scheduled to run at the Jacobs Theatre on Broadway for only 12 weeks, beginning in late March. Three Days of Rain has already seen success in Boston, Chicago, and Los Angeles. The story of a brother, a sister, and a childhood friend begins to unfold when they are united over the death of the siblings' father. Over the course of three days of rain, they are left to settle the parents' estate and soon find there are things to deal with that are bigger than the issue of who gets the house. The three characters find a diary and act out scenes from their parents' lives, essentially performing a play within a play.

Three Days of Rain writer Richard Greenberg has written eight plays. His Take Me Out won him a 2003 Drama Desk Award for Outstanding New Play as well as a 2003 Tony Award for Best Play. Three Days of Rain is film star Julia Roberts' Broadway debut.
