The everyday sounds of pipes and brooms, lighters and garbage pail lids, are used to create a fresh how heavy in dance and percussion.

Stompstarted stomping on the streets of Brighton, England. Luke Cresswell and Steve McNicholas the creators of STOMP worked as street performers commonly know as "buskers" trying to grab people's attention. Noises that you usually try to block out are arranged and joined with movement to create a new performance.

Stomp began it's run at the Orpheum Theatre in New York in February '94, after a sell-out run at Sadler's Wells in London's West End. The show is still running in New York with an all American cast. STOMP won the Best Choreography Olivier, an Obie and a Drama Desk Award for Most Unique Theatre Experience.
