Movin Out Information

Movin' Out is a Broadway musical created by Twyla Tharp with the help of music by Billy Joel. Brenda and Eddie are two high school sweethearts and James and Judy are a couple who are ready for marriage. The final main character is Tony, who is yet to find that special someone. All three of the men leave home for the war; one of them loses his life. Through a series of events, the foursome goes on with their lives and eventually come to be reunited. Movin' Out was nominated for nine Tony Awards in 2003 while winning the Tony Award for Best Choreography and for Best Orchestrations. Light on plot but heavy on music, Billy Joel fans will love Movin' Out. After more than 1,300 performances Movin' Out ended its run on Broadway. However, Movin' Out went on tour across the United States and into other countries.
