Legends! is a revival of the 1980 comedy of the same name. Joan Collins and Linda Evans, the Divas of Dynasty, reunite to star in the 2006 revival of Legends! A comedy about big stars and even bigger egos. Comedy ensues when a young producer tricks two fading starlets into starring in his production. The women have hated each other for decades but the unscrupulous producer misleads them into believing that they will be starring in the show with Paul Newman. Both the Legends! commit to the play but before long the producer may need to be committed. Legends! tickets are planned for a 10-city tour before the play hits Broadway.

Legends! has a famous history of life imitating art. Written by James Kirkwood Legends! originally mounted a production during the late 1980s with Mary Martin and Carol Channing. The show crashed and burned during the pre-Broadway tour when fighting between Mary Martin and Carol Channing erupted behind the scenes and Martin quit after one of her speeches was cut. James Kirkwood later wrote the play Diary of a Mad Playwright about the experience. Kirkwood is also the famed writer of A Chorus Line. The original characters of the play were based on Joan Crawford and Loretta Young. Ben Sprecher will produce the 2006 Broadway mounting of Legends!.
