Feisty orphan Annie won the hearts of millions as she sung her way across America bringing a message of hope and a promise of a better tomorrow. Set in the Depression Annie doesn't expect much. Stuck in an orphanage under the half-hearted control of evil Miss Hannigan Annie longs to find a family, dreaming of parents she never met. After a rare opportunity to stay with the millionaire Oliver Warbucks Annie charms her way into a new world. But she won't give up hope of finding her real parents. A nationwide search and reward for her parents puts Annie at the mercy of unscrupulous imposters. Who will save Annie from danger? The adventures of Annie and her dog Sandy will warm your heart.

In 2006 Annie is back singing and dancing her way into the hearts of another generation for a revival of the 1976 classic musical. Leapin Lizards! This play won seven Tony Awards. The play is based on a character created by Harold Gray in the comic strip Little Orphan Annie.

The musical spawned a string of recognizable songs: "Tomorrow," "It's a Hard Knock Life," and "Easy Street." Two stage sequels followed this successful play with little fanfare. A feature film and a television film also followed. At least 20 recognizable stars have appeared in a version of Annie at some point including Carol Burnett, Andrea McArdle, Nell Carter, Sarah Jessica Parker, Tim Curry, Kathy Bates, Albert Finney, Bernadette Peters, and Mackenzie Phillips.
