Altar Boyz Information

The musical-comedy spoof Altar Boyz, about a fictional Christian pop group (with one nice Jewish boy), really rocks with humorous songs that are good enough to make it on the radio. The boys do a little self discovery and begin to question their faith – in each other. The hunk, the womanizer, the bad boy, the sensitive soul, and the nice Jewish boy will leave you laughing and singing. The Altar Boyz hits "Jesus called me on my cell phone" and "Girl, you make me wanna wait" may be a bit irreverent but these heavenly boy toys know how to sell it. Known for their "sinfully spectacular" dancing, the Altar Boyz are a wonderful take off on pop culture.

Altar Boyz is directed by Stafford Arima and choreographed by Christopher Gattelli. Altar Boyz music and lyrics are written by Gary Adler and Michael Patrick Walker and the book is by Kevin Del Aguila. Altar Boyz made a name for itself Off Broadway at New World Stages in New York.
